RT 49: Teachings from Afghanistan on War and Peace; our past looking towards the future

 After tracing centuries of empire, ritual power, judgment, and sovereignty across our previous RoundTables, RT 49 brings those themes into lived reality through the voice of Mir Rahimi. An Afghan raised amid unrelenting war and now residing in Britain, Mir’s memoir ACROSS MOUNTAINS, LAND AND SEA  offers a rare testimony of how peace is forged not through ideology or domination, but through the preservation of humanity itself. His life becomes the practical proof of what we’ve been uncovering all along: that breaking the cycle of violence begins within, and that if one human being can transcend war without losing compassion, then a peaceful future remains possible for us all. Mir Rahimi will be joining with us for this roundtable discussion.

It covers historical events related to JFK’s Fitzgerald family that preceded his assassination in 1963 by some four centuries. These events which branded his Desmond branch of the family as traitors to the Crown of England became a long standing motive to remove any trace of his Tudor ancestry and erase him from the royal line of succession.  Following their investigation into the chronology of the Fitzgerald family (starting with its creation in 1096) and its connection to the JFK assassination we wove the myths surrounding the Fitzgerald family through Paul Fitzgerald’s personal story as a member of the same Desmond branch as JFK.
